Hello!

Do you do a lot of embossing, inking, spraying, glueing etc and are tired of getting your green mat or table dirty?

You have probably heard of the Inkessentials craft mat which is great and retails for around $25.00. It wipes clean, is heat resistant and protects your table. Click {here} to head over to youtube to see it in action.

We have just imported our own generic brand and would like to give them out this week for FREE!!

Our mats are 50x50cm square and we are trialling it at the moment to see if we would like to permanently stock them.

If you would like to trial our product, come in store this week, spend $40 and mention this blog post. You will then go home with your very own craft mat. We also ask that you give us some feedback on our mats after you have used it. Limit of 1 per person.

Guest Blogger Call Out!

Would you like to “earn” a crafty pack worth at least $35?

I’m looking for 15 people to write a blog post. The blog post should showcase either a technique or a item you have created using items either from our store or items we stock.

Your post should include at least 3-4 photos and be approx. 400 words in length.

How to apply:

E-mail me (marijke@wholesalebrads.com) with your idea for a post and the 15 most suited will be chosen. It will not necessarily be the most experienced paper crafter – but one that really shows a passion for their craft 🙂

You can submit as many proposals as you wish.

A lot of ideas are floating around on the internet and you may adapt something you have seen before and make it in to something of your own – but you CAN NOT directly copy.

Ideas should be submitted by Saturday 23rd March, and if you are chosen your blog post will need to be submitted by the 30th March 2013.

Good Luck!

A Prima Educator is coming to Geraldton!

Join us for a wonderful weekend full of fun and lots of Prima flowers!

We are very lucky to have been able to book Janine in her very busy schedule! I have fallen in love with her work and am very excited to have her join us for a weekend full of inspiration, lots of techniques and doing what we all love – Scrapbooking!

A little about the teacher…

Hi my name is Janine Koczwara, and I am from Adelaide, Australia.  I have been scrap obsessed for 9 years now. It was my husband, Paul who suggested I should get a hobby, however I don’t think he anticipated the passion I would develop for scrapbooking!   I have 5 children, Lachlan 15, Cameron 13, Ethan 9, Kaitlyn 5 and Ashton 3 who all feature in my pages. I am currently a Prima Endorsed Educator and prior to that was part of the Prima Design Team for 3 years. I have been privileged to be a DT member for For Keeps magazine in 2005 and again in 2007. Then in 2009 I won a place on their Elite Team. I have been published in For Keeps, Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations, Australian Stamping and Papercraft (all Australian magazines) as well as magazines in Sweden and Russia and the online magazine Scrapstreet.  . I have also been on the, Aussie Scrap Source Design Team (Australia’s premier wholesaler) and Chatterbox Design Team and I am a Co-founder of The Color Room, an inspiration site for scrapbookers.

I have been teaching scrapbooking for over 8 years, and love the opportunity to share the techniques I have learnt along my scrapbooking journey as well as meeting the wonderful people in my classes. I have travelled both interstate and internationally teaching scrapbooking. My style is best described as Shabby Chic, and is extremely layered and feminine and I love to show people how to re-create all those beautiful layers in their pages.

Craft Storage

I have a LOT of craft supplies here at home, yet I wouldn’t have a clue what I really have. Why? Because I don’t have the right storage.

I end up putting items in boxes to tidy up and stack the boxes up and then when I need something which I THINK I might have I either can not find it or can’t be bothered looking through the 5 or so (ok 20ish or so….) boxes to find it so don’t use it.
Take Washi Tape for example. I have around 20 rolls of it in a draw on my desk – but out of sight = out of mind!
Ever since I have started using the WeR memory keeper tape dispensers I use washi tape a lot more.(so does my daughter…but hey its there to be used right?)
That brings me to my new craft room – I will finally have my own space to spread out all my scrapbooking items instead of sharing the dining table with the kids. But I need to make the most of my space and have everything easily accessible and make it look neat all in one!
So I started an online search and this is what I found:
NB: (I have repinned them all on to a board in Pinterst so you can track back whose image it is {here} )

There are some great ideas here! My head is spinning with ideas now…. I think a trip to Ikea is in order – I just LOVE their storage items (see bottom photo) and I think draws will work best for me. Although I am rather partial to all the jars and would love to organise my flowers, buttons and ribbons into colours…. but who knows in my busy life how long it will stay looking that pretty!?
How have you organised your craft room?
