Monthly Archives: February 2012

A week in Review….

Good Morning Everyone!

What a week it has been…we are in the final week of Feb already. Time seems to just fly past and only 2 weeks to go till my husband is home again!

On Thursday Jenny took our mobile classroom on the road to teach 12 wonderful senior citizens how to make easel cards. They loved it! In the afternoon Jenny was very brave to teach a classroom full of giggling girls how to heat emboss. (average age of the girls is 7). No one burnt themselves and everyone had a beautiful layout to take home. We also got to help Macy celebrate her 7th Birthday.

Yesterday Mr Courier came to visit and dropped off the March kaiser release. There are lots of new designs in the wooden flourishes, new wood projects, wall art and 3 new collections. Technological, Tigerlilly and a new range of Australian papers.
The new scrap kits are in store now too. This is the Technological one. The kit includes EVERYTHING to make these 4 pages – that works out to only $8.75 per page! And you even have plenty of left overs too 🙂 To buy this kit click here.

Or how about a bright and funky girly layouts – Tigerlily?

This kit includes the papers, cardstock, collectables, sticker sheets, pearl flourish, rub ons, mini roses and full colour instructions & costs $29.99. Click here to buy.

The new papers and embellishments will be available in store on the 1st March.

We still have tickes available for our Prima night and only a couple left for the PJ Party.

Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead and enjoy the rest of yor Sunday.

Splatter on the Paint!

Do you often go outside your comfort zone? I don’t but on Saturday I decided I would like to have a play.
At the end of last year my little girl and her friend had their photo taken in the GiggleBox at the school disco. As it was such a fun photo / them I needed to have a bit of fun with the layout.

I grabbed a cheap toothbrush, loaded it up with paint and splattered the background with the paint. It is such a quick, easy and fun effect! I then used the newly released “Tiny Woods” paper pad from Kaisercraft and cut 3 strips from 3 different papers just slightly bigger than the photo strip.
I also used the cuttlebug to cut out a couple of flourishes. The layout was finished of with a flower I had in my stash from Prima.
What do you think of the splatter technique?

Shop Update

Good Morning!

Just thought I would give you a quick update of what is happening in our little shop.

It was a very busy day today with Scrapbook class in the morning (2 spaces still available in this class for the term) and then the Card Club this evening. Tomorrow we have our very popular kids class in the afternoon. Unfortunately for some this class is now fully booked till the end of the term. Contact me if you would like to be put on the waiting list for a Wednesday afternoon class. Once we have 8 on the list, the class will go ahead.

We where very fortunate this week to acquire 2 beautiful new cupboards. First the kids had to clean them for me 🙂

An afternoon of moving stock around and our shop looks even better – and we have been able to make some space for all the new CHA 2012 stock due to start arriving in the next week or so.

We also have a few new and exciting things planned for term 2. An e-mail will be going out today with more information.
There are a couple of new page kits up on the website too – only a couple of each so be quick if you would like to buy one.
Wishing everyone a great rest of the week!
